These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all manufacturing services provided by Crown Jewelry Casting ("Crown," "we," "us," or "our") to business customers ("Customer," "you"). By submitting a project, purchase order, or files to Crown, you agree to these Terms.
Disclaimer
Disclaimer: Crown Jewelry Casting provides manufacturing services exclusively to jewelry professionals, designers, wholesalers, and retailers. Customers are responsible for ensuring they own or have authorization to reproduce any CAD files, wax models, or designs submitted for production. Metal weights, dimensions, and finished castings may vary within normal manufacturing tolerances. Quotes, lead times, and availability are estimates and subject to change. Crown Jewelry Casting is not responsible for design errors contained in customer-supplied files. Precious metals and customer property are handled with the utmost care; however, liability is limited as set forth in our Terms & Conditions.
Quotes, Orders & Pricing
Quotes are estimates based on the information and files provided at the time of request and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing is determined by the actual finished weight of each casting, the metal alloy selected, current market rates for precious metals, and any additional finishing services requested. Orders are confirmed upon Customer approval and receipt of any required deposit or metal.
Turnaround & Lead Times
Stated turnaround times (including any "average" or "typical" figures published on this website) are estimates and depend on order volume, complexity, metal availability, and customer approvals. Crown will make reasonable efforts to meet communicated deadlines but is not liable for delays caused by suppliers, carriers, incorrect files, or events outside our reasonable control.
Tolerances & Quality
Cast items may vary within standard jewelry-manufacturing tolerances for weight, dimensions, shrinkage, and surface finish. Customers are responsible for reviewing castings promptly upon receipt. Claims regarding defects must be submitted in writing within 10 business days of delivery with photographs and the affected pieces returned intact for evaluation.
Intellectual Property
All customer-submitted CAD files, STL files, wax models, and design files remain the intellectual property of their respective owners and are used solely for manufacturing the requested products. Crown claims no ownership over Customer designs and will not reproduce, share, or use Customer files for any purpose outside of the specific order to which they were submitted.
Confidentiality
All customer designs, CAD files, STL files, and related intellectual property are treated as strictly confidential and are used solely for the purpose of manufacturing the requested products.
Payment
Payment terms are established per Customer account. Invoices are due upon receipt unless net terms have been extended in writing. Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by law and may result in a hold on active or future orders.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crown's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to services provided shall not exceed the amount paid by Customer for the specific order giving rise to the claim. Crown is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
Crown Jewelry Casting respects the privacy of its business customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, business name, email, phone number, shipping address, project details, and files submitted for quoting or production. We also collect limited technical information (IP address, browser type, referring pages) via standard server logs and analytics.
How We Use Information
We use your information to prepare quotes, fulfill orders, communicate about projects, process payments, ship completed work, and improve our services. We do not sell Customer information to third parties.
Service Providers
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the business — for example, shipping carriers, payment processors, refiners, and email or hosting platforms — and only to the extent necessary for those services.
Data Security & Retention
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect Customer information and design files. Files and records are retained only as long as necessary for fulfillment, accounting, and legal requirements.
Your Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing info@crownjewelrycasting.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe subject to any legal or contractual retention obligations.

Nationwide Shipping
Orders shipped outside the New York area are sent via insured, trackable carriers appropriate to the value of the shipment (typically FedEx, UPS, or USPS Registered Mail). Shipping charges are billed to the Customer unless otherwise agreed.
Risk of Loss & Insurance
All outgoing shipments are insured for their declared value. Customers must inspect shipments upon delivery and report any visible damage, tampering, or missing contents to Crown and the carrier within 24 hours of receipt to preserve insurance claims. For inbound customer materials, Customer is responsible for arranging appropriate insured shipping to Crown's facility.
Facility
All shipments are received at and dispatched from 42 West 38th Street, Suite 604, New York, NY 10018 during our published business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (ET)).
Crown handles gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and Customer-supplied materials every day. The following policies apply to any precious metal or physical property entrusted to Crown.
Customer-Supplied Metal
Customers may supply their own casting grain, scrap, or bench sweeps for production. All incoming metal is weighed and documented on receipt, with the intake weight shared with the Customer. Cast weights, sprue/tree returns, and normal manufacturing losses are reported per job.
Alloying & Karat Accuracy
Crown alloys metal to industry-standard karat and purity specifications. When Customer-supplied metal is used, Crown assumes the incoming material matches the Customer's stated karat/purity and is not responsible for karat variance caused by misrepresented intake material.
Storage & Custody
Precious metals and Customer property are stored securely on-site during production and are handled only by authorized personnel. Long-term unclaimed Customer property may, after written notice, be returned at Customer's expense or sent to a licensed refiner with proceeds held to Customer's account.
Liability
Precious metals and Customer property are handled with the utmost care; however, Crown's liability for loss or damage of Customer materials is limited to the documented intake value of the material as set forth in our Terms & Conditions.
Clean files produce clean castings. Please review the following before submitting a project to Crown.
Accepted Formats
- STL (preferred for print/casting)
- 3DM (Rhino)
- OBJ, STEP, IGES (accepted; may require conversion)
- Physical wax models, silver models, or existing pieces for reproduction
File Requirements
- Watertight, manifold geometry with no naked edges or inverted normals.
- Minimum wall thickness appropriate to the chosen metal (typically ≥ 0.7 mm; ≥ 0.9 mm for platinum).
- Prong tips, bezels, and pavé seats fully modeled — not as reference geometry.
- Stone sizes, cut, and setting style clearly noted with the file.
- Units and scale confirmed in millimeters.
Design Responsibility
Crown is not responsible for design errors contained in customer-supplied files, including but not limited to undersized prongs, insufficient wall thickness, incorrect stone seats, or unmanifold geometry. Where possible we will flag issues before production, but final responsibility for the file rests with the Customer.
Intellectual Property
All customer-submitted CAD files, STL files, wax models, and design files remain the intellectual property of their respective owners and are used solely for manufacturing the requested products. Crown holds all such files in strict confidence in accordance with our Confidentiality terms.
